Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public broad access to many public records, but the correct custodian depends on the record. In Union Parish, the Clerk of Court maintains district court filings, marriage records, probate or succession files, mortgage records, conveyance records, and many certified-copy requests. The Third Judicial District Court provides judge, calendar, forms, services, and rules information for Lincoln and Union Parishes. The Sheriff's Office handles sheriff-created reports, civil office payments, and bonding paperwork, while the Union Parish Detention Center is operated separately by the Union Parish Police Jury and jail commission.
